Policies... A Few Requests
Animals
We love animals, but unfortunately they MUST stay outside. This can
be hazardous to small dogs in that predators like coyotes, bobcats and owls
could invite them out to dinner. If you have one of these critters, i.e.
lap dogs, we have a couple of suggestions: 1) leave it at home or 2) bring
a portable kennel to keep on the outside porch.
Occupancy
Parcel 19 is not responsible for signing in any guests, that is the sole responsibility of the owner renting the house. The owner/renter should be conscious of the total number of owners and guests on his particular parcel during the rental period and stay within the limits set forth by the Hollister Ranch CC&R's. That being said, the house has a maximum occupancy of 12 and can sleep 7 in beds. If you have more than seven we suggest you bring sleeping bags, pads, pillows and whatever bedding you might need.
Heating
Unfortunately the heating system in the house is very inefficient. In times past we have received outrageous electrical bills and so we have deactivated all but the heater in the living room. PLEASE keep this unit off in the day time as the huge south facing plate glass windows heat the house during the day just fine.
Jacuzzi
The Jacuzzi goes on at 5 p.m. and is off at 8 p.m. If you need more time in the spa, just call Bill or Greg to adjust the timer. Please cover the Jacuzzi to conserve heat and to keep it clean.
Carpeting
The house has brand new carpet which is allergic to shoes and animals. When shoes and animals come into contact with the carpet it seems to break out in dark spots. PLEASE REMOVE YOUR SHOES before stepping on the carpet. We really appreciate it.
